History

1881 Xugezhuang Machinery Works founded and manufactured first steam locomotive in China named "Rocket of China".

1949 Started to design and manufacture coaches and wagons independently.

1953 Manufactured Model 21 passenger coach.

1956 Manufactured Type “Heping” freight steam locomotive for main line.

1958 Locomotive & Rolling Stock Industry Bureau of the Ministry of Railways         (MOR) founded, with 27 subsidiary Works. Manufactured diesel locomotive, electric locomotive and DMU in first time.

1967 Manufactured metro car.

1969 Manufactured Type Dongfeng 4 and Type Beijing diesel locomotives.

1986 Reorganized to China National Railway Locomotive & Rolling Stock Industry Corporation, with 35 subsidiary Works and  4 Research Institutes

1990 Manufactured Model 25A passenger coach.

1993 Manufactured 160 km/h quasi-high-speed train.

1996 Reorganized to a holding (Group) corporation. Manufactured trains for first railway acceleration of MOR.

2000 Reorganized to China Northern Locomotive & Rolling Stock Industry (Group) Corporation. Manufactured AC propulsion diesel locomotive.

2005 Manufactured wagons with 70-ton and 80-ton loading capacity.

2007 Manufactured 9,600kW electric locomotive and 200 km/h EMU for the sixth speed acceleration of MOR.

2008 Reorganized to China CNR Corporation Limited. Manufacture 350 km/h EMU and 6,000 HP diesel locomotive.

2009 Listed in the Shanghai Stock Exchange (601299).

2010 Manufactured 380 km/h high speed train.
